Moving Operation to new Terminal Facility
Seaport was assisting moving the Nuuk operation from the current terminal facility to the newly constructed facility, that was designed and build during the period of 2013 – 2017. The support included preparing and organising the client’s teams as well as supporting with operations organisation and TOS go-live.
Performance Improvements
Seaport advised Aalborg (Denmark) and Nuuk (Greenland) port/terminal operation with regards to reduction in man-hours related to areas such as vessel operation, yard operation, gate operation and administration.
Preparing for a Future Efficient Operation
Seaport provided expertise as to how Royal Arctic Line’s container terminal operations in Nuuk Greenland and Aalborg Denmark can be operated most efficient considering the terminal’s layout configuration, stack configuration, and TOS, both with regards to handling technologies and grounding strategies. The work was concentrated around:
- Possibilities of for operations strategies with regards to operations planning, automatic equipment dispatching, grounding strategies, etc.
- Suitable mode of operation and handling equipment considering terminal layout, driving distances, layout of CFS/warehouses, and types of services carried out in the facilities.
