Performance Improvement Program, Straddle Carrier Terminal

Seaport had one of senior container terminal operations experts stationed with Eurogate CTB in Bremerhaven and at Eurogate CTH in Hamburg, where he was acting as Productivity Manager.

In our capacity as Productivity Manager, our expert should initiate and carry out a Performance Improvement Program (PIP) with the aim of:

  • Improve waterside productivity from 20 to +25 gross moves per hour.
  • Incorporating a performance culture.
  • Implementing organisational changes.
  • Implement new working methods.

The program was based on the purpose built DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma methods used on other Seaport projects.
