Centralization of Shipping Line Activities, Scandinavia

In connection with standardization and centralization of working processes and tasks .

All vessel operations processes related to the shipping lines activities in 10+ different ports were managed from different offices and in different ways depending on the country of the port and individual vendors requirements

Based on a gap analysis per location compared to the shipping line’s standard operating procedures (SOPs), individual change project plans were developed together with each individual vendor at each different location.

Once the SOPs were standardized in the specific locations, the work was centralized to one office.

Hence improving the shipping lines efficiency and reduced overhead cost as well as creating the prerequisite for later automation of some of the manual processes.
