The terminal assets included semi-automated open bulk storage, conveyor network, quay operations, land development, train station and rail unloading operation. The development planning assumed the terminal export capacities ranging from 5 mtpa to 60 mtpa, assuming upgrade of the existing systems and gradual introduction of new equipment and infrastructure. The staged operations development plan has been prepared and expanded into the CAPEX and OPEX forecasts.
The quay capacity upgrade assumed relocation to the newly developed quay in vicinity, and use of the new higher capacity continual ship loaders. Upgrade of the yard systems, comprising of the train unloaders, stackers, reclaimers and conveyor systems, has been planned through the several stages to meet the new ship loaders capacity. Several development footprints of the terminal have been prepared for the various throughput scenarios.
The train unloading operation has been reviewed and staged expansion of the delivery rail loop has been planned along with CAPEX estimates. The 400 km rail delivery operation comprising the public and private infrastructure has also been reviewed to indicate the delivery capacities, constraints and expansion requirements for the private infrastructure elements and trains fleet.
